Na

now now don't be afraid kids. don't move to Mallorca although you would really love to and maybe / possibly defiantly that might just be for the best - oh remember the days when a loverly new black Parisian black coat walking down past you yes sitting on that corner road in your favorite caf, eating your favorite food - that is what you found exciting,  - maybe the thought of someone telling you that they don't just like that coat, but they designed the coat t00 - maybe that doesn't sound so exciting anymore - maybe that just sounds boring now - and maybe you want to dump your partner and find someone who is a LITTLE MORE INTERESTING than what you had in mind.. no?

oh Jeebs

I have just realised, that - i am going to soon. . . a differant world is soon arriving , and am i excited? Yes. But i need the energy, the energy that makes you move - gives your ears a little less gas - i am so intrigued on who invented the simplicity of reading such a great book. I work in such a small little shop that neveer gets even 1 or two customer - all day, although i do only do 4 to 5 hours- in where i drown my surrows and think of my day ahead, usually do mesmorised on wondering how i havent given up completely - getting paid not very much but i have to keep working on little things, like drawings in my sketch book for my project for my new life - a new life where i will have thought about everything in the world so there is nothing left to think except for new things, new happy little things - where i can sit in my room eating noodles and feel so fast but yet so relaxed ,doing and learning all the things i lovevevevev. Inviting my new friends back to my 'room' will be so exciting first time round possibly? Lets all sit on my bed and watch paris texus, hey? So dont let it stop you, you little punk - you stupid little devil, i've seeeeeeeeeen the drawing, on the back - it's hilaireous! It's funny how we all think the same.

Time to go, a customer is in the fitting room and she cant do the zip + i wanna read more and book tickets to spain asap before they go up and then at 3 i have to go see JOAN who will get the shock of her life when i show her the remainings of the plan. tea hee

good bye for now, farewell . Alice

San Lorenzo.

St martins - Done.

lov

a time and another time, and another time. And then we celebrate that time.

After my interview, we went to Jo allens. All I had eaten that day was liqorish. I was weak and constipated. Jo allens is an american diner that has been open for a long time. They have one in NY, that was the first. All the 'film stars' would go there and eat after thier premiers. London decided to open one, and the same sort of thing happend - but a lower class of people would fill it. They have the best cheese burger and handcut fries. One of the things that makes it so special is - it's not on the menu. You have to KNOW about it. So you ask for cheese burger and chips and they say 'ok' - even though they dont apperantly sell it. I dont eat beef- So i said - 'Hello, do you have any chicken breast. And if you do, could i have it in a bun with saled. And chips.'

After we'd finished the meal, i got a great call from a bird - e. I then went to the toilet and noticed my butt had grown. We left when i got back from the toilet.

If you are taking pictures while having fun, you ruin the fun, because you are just taking pictures the whole time.

FMP (Final Major Project)

Alice Neale
PROJECT PROPOSAL

As a child I wanted to be a detective. At 9 I was told I could die being a detective. At 9 and a half I decided I did not want to die, so stopped the idea of wanted to be a detective. At 10 my brother told me smoking killed. At 12 my parents stopped smoking. At 13 I decided I wanted to be a detective again. At 14 I started to like documentaries. I liked the pace.

While watching films, all types of films – I visualise snaps. Snaps you wouldn’t get from everyday life. So I take my camera and I take photographs. This helps me enjoy photography. When I look at the world, I do not get inspired – no beautiful photographs can come out of everyday life. In films, everything is make believe – everything is set up to look like everyday day life.

When I was young, 13 or 12 – Half term came and went very slowly. One half term, me and a friend broke up. We weren’t talking. For the 7 days of half term there was a fair at Shoreham beach. Me and my mum went – everyday. I’d eat, but only a bit. Half a baked potato usually, and a lolly pop.

Near the fair, just across the road – there are house boats. My mum loved the house boats and wanted to move into one of them, with me. We would walk up, and down the path way. The people that lived in the house boats were warm and friendly. They all knew each other. It was a house boat community.

While my mum would take photos of the cement house boats, I would stare at the people. Builders building, mum’s hanging the washing, little people playing opposite there house boat in the park.

Last week I went back to Shoreham beach. My grandparents offered to take me, they waited in the car for an hour while I had a walk. I took photographs of everyone I saw, they didn’t know, they couldn’t see, but when the flash would go off on the camera, they’d look around, and I’d duck.

I took photos of the builders building, the children playing, the mum’s hanging up their washing.

By the end of the 8 weeks, I will have been to other places – not just Shoreham beach. Il take photographs everywhere and of everyone – in their environment, with out them having a clue I’m doing so. The photographs will be in black and white. There will be a few. More than 100, less than 200. I want the photographs to look sneaky. I want the photographs to look like someone has paid me to do this. I am going behind peoples backs with no permission.

Sophie Calle is an artist who – hired a detective to follow her. She then kept the photographs and made it into art work. Women sometimes will ask a detective to follow their husband when they think he is being unfaithful.

Annette Massenger is a french artist who – took a series of photographs of business men on their way to work, usually wearing white shirts and ugly ties. Taken close up and out of focus – this is because she would not look while taking, she would try and be discreet so they would not know what she was doing. Very light black and white small photographs came out of this, about eight or nine – but, really beautiful and neat.

Nobuyoshi Araki is a Japanese photographer who – spent three years of his life on the subway, usually early morning to catch the crowds. He would take snap shots of people on their way to work, school etc. He would do this without them knowing. The book is called ‘Subway Love’ and some of the images he has caught are really great.

I’m going to make an action plan. I don’t want to be stressed. I just want everything to go smoothly. Everyweek, preferably on a Wednesday or Friday – I shall follow a new person, taking photographs of their foot steps – (not literally). Each film will be in a different place.

Ti voglio bene ;)

I took Two hundred photographs of Jasmine. She's really good to take photos of, because she doesn't do silly things with her eyes and lips like most pretty girls do. I took them for a project. - called 'image and text', the worst possible title Ever. I might just put an 'X' for my text. who knows

a french artsit called Annette Messager.

I went to the harward today, to see Annette Messager. I was really looking forward to it. It was £11, which at first i did get a little bit angry.
I sat for a good hour on the bench just staring at one of her pieces, half a room (down stairs)of soft toys doing all sorts of things. But really amazing characters.Il tell you one.

'inflated'

Inflated animals, Huge. The fan would go on and the fan would go Off. When the fan was on, the animals would come to life for a split second (Or what it seemed like) When the fan was off, the animals would go back down. Fan on, animals would come to life. Lilac, peach, powder green.

Courier

I really hope you like this.

I decided to use the font 'courier' because in a way, it sort of looks like i am using a type writer to write my blog.i have many little photos of many little things, especially stupid things - like me, crinkled up in fabric, all differant kinds. The outcome of the photos will be a long dress, a dress that fits 16 pages of a book. The photos will run along the 16 pages - in a panarama sort of a way.

Ugly girls

My name is alice,, i dont like to give too much of myself away on the internet but blogspot seemed cool and easy, so i thought 'what the heck' right? Im at full time student at city college studying the beautiful art of photography, which i enjoy very much.

Today I am taking a risk, a huge risk that will damage me, my health and my eternal hope for 'the natural look'.

I want to look like a star, make me a star, i want to BE a star.

let me shine, shine, shine, shine.
